Why are the mods not downloading?

      Article summary

This error occurs when WeMod is not able to download the trainer. Unlike other trainer programs, WeMod does not download the trainer until you use it for the first time. Unfortunately, if the trainer cannot be downloaded, or if the download is deleted, you will receive an error, and you will not be able to use the trainer. This issue can usually be resolved with just a few steps.

      1. Confirm you have a stable active internet connection. If your connection is unstable, the download may fail, and you will need to try again.
      2. Disable your antivirus. One of the most common causes is an antivirus or firewall interfering with the download. It may stop the download before it ever starts or deletes it once it has finished downloading. The quickest way to eliminate this issue is to add the two WeMod installation folders, C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\WeMod and C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\WeMod to your antivirus whitelist.
      3. Restart WeMod as admin. This should rarely be required, but occasionally Windows might block WeMod from downloading files. To run WeMod as admin, close the application completely, right-click the WeMod icon, then click "Run as administrator" a pop-up will appear confirming your request.
