    Game Queue

      Article Summary

Being a small community of creators with only so many hours a day, we must establish and communicate a fair, transparent, and easy-to-understand workflow. The queue is our way of achieving that.

We prioritize games in our creator queue using an algorithm that considers the number of active players, time since a game was last updated, boosts, user interest, and upcoming game releases.

      How We Work

The games listed in the Creators tab in the WeMod app are what we are working on next. No exceptions. The queue will change throughout the week as popular games are released, games are updated, or community interest in other games is shown. We believe the way we prioritize games is fair, transparent, and easy to understand.

      Your input matters.

As a WeMod member, you can let us know you want mods created for a game by following it in the app. To follow a game, click the “Notify me” button on the game's page, and you will receive an email notification once mods are released. The more followers a game has, the more likely it is to be added to the queue.

What are boosts, and how do I get them?

Boosts are used to influence the priority of games in the queue. The more boosts a game has, the more likely it is to be worked on sooner than games higher up in the queue. After boosting a game, you may not see a change in its position.

Boosts can mean the difference between us working on a game next week instead of next month. Since they hold significant influence over the games WeMod users can mod in next, boosts may only be obtained by Pro members. By supporting us with Pro, you get monthly boosts to use on any games in the queue. You can also boost a single game as many times as you'd like.

How do I boost a game that isn't in the queue?

Currently, it is only possible to boost games in the queue. The best way to get a game added to the queue is to follow it using the "Notify Me" feature. The more followers, the more likely it will be added to the queue.
