Why was WeMod flagged by my antivirus?
- Updated on 31 May 2023
Is WeMod a virus?
WeMod is not a virus. Thanks to the support of our Pro members, distributing malware to stay in business is unnecessary, nor would we ever consider this an option. Any detection by your antivirus is a false positive. There are several reasons why your antivirus might flag WeMod or its trainers. The most common cause is the way we protect our code. Unfortunately, some antiviruses automatically flag any file they cannot scan. WeMod currently has over 11,000 5-star reviews on trust pilot https://www.trustpilot.com/review/wemod.com
My antivirus stops me from using WeMod!
When an antivirus flags a file, it is usually placed in quarantine to stop it from infecting the system. The quickest way to fix this is to add the two WeMod installation folders, C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\WeMod
and C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\WeMod
to your antivirus whitelist.
